We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer (MERN Stack) with 10–15 years of expertise in developing enterprise-scale applications, with a strong background in E-Governance solutions. This role combines technical leadership, architecture ownership, and hands-on development to deliver secure, scalable, and citizen-centric digital platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of MERN-based e-governance platforms ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
- Drive the full software development lifecycle across multiple large-scale projects.
- Collaborate with business analysts, UI/UX designers, and cross-functional technical teams to deliver solutions aligned with governance needs.
- Define coding standards, architecture patterns, and best practices for performance and security.
- Mentor and guide development teams, reviewing code and ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Integrate backend services, APIs, and third-party systems into government service delivery platforms.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and accessibility standards required for public sector projects.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in MERN stack technologies and apply innovations to e-governance solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 10–15 years in software engineering, with significant leadership experience in large-scale MERN projects.
- Deep expertise in MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, with experience in enterprise-level system integration.
- Strong proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
- Proven experience in e-governance projects or large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of security best practices, identity/access management, and compliance frameworks relevant to public sector IT.
- Strong architectural and design skills with ability to handle high-volume, high-availability applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage government clients.
Skills to have :
- Exposure to cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience in building multi-lingual citizen service platforms.
- Familiarity with digital signature, Aadhaar/eID integrations, or similar national-level ID systems.
- Prior experience leading large engineering teams in IT service or consulting setups.
